I’ve always been a firm believer in giving something back – maybe it’s a gift for a good deed, volunteering, or even helping a neighbour out. Whether you’re giving or receiving, it can really lift your day.
That’s why I thought it would be a great idea to support the community through the Marketing Health Checks I offer. The idea is that a company receives a marketing review, and I give a donation of €50 to their chosen charity, good cause or community project. I’ve called it Giving Back.
So how does it work? You’ve probably read already about the benefits of the check. I visit the client, go through a variety of marketing probing questions (it’s not too painful), and then produce a report that offers tangible and actionable ideas and recommendations to boost a business.
Once the check is complete and I’ve received payment (€290) I then contact the chosen charity/project and give them the donation – easy! That way the company gets great marketing advice to grow and improve the business, and the charity gets a welcome boost financially!

Giving Back competition:
To get Giving Back underway, I thought what better way than to offer a free Marketing Health Check to a community cause. Maybe you are an existing charity, one that is just launching, or a community project trying to raise money.
If you’re one of these, then just email me: firstname.lastname@example.org and tell me your name, what your cause is, and why you feel a Marketing Health Check would benefit you.
Competition ends 28 October 2016 when I’ll announce the winner.
The winner of the competition will receive a free Marketing Health Check. This includes visiting the offices/Skype call to discuss your marketing. After the visit/call, the winner will receive a document offering recommendations and suggestions to improve marketing efficiency.
There is one winner and no cash alternative. The cause must be legitimate.
All entrants into the competition agree to publicity which will be mainly shared online, via web/social media. Closing date 28 October 2016 11.59pm. The winner will be chosen at random.
Giving Back ts&cs:
The company receiving the Marketing Health Check will contact povey communications with the chosen charity/cause. They will then be contacted to arrange a one off payment of €50. This will be made once the client has paid povey communications in full.
